LAURA’S BACKGOUND

Having specialised in Music from a young age at Wells Cathedral school, Laura graduated from the Royal College of Music with a masters in  Piano performance in 2014. 
Laura has since worked extensively teaching piano, whilst continuing to perform on a regular basis. Laura has coached students from beginner level to post diploma standard as a Visiting Music Teacher at Downe House school, Winchester College, and at her private teaching practise in Hambledon Hampshire. 



Early Career 
Laura has also worked professionally as a cellist, having initially embarked on a degree in ‘cello performance at the Royal Academy of Music in 2007. During her first two years as a student at RAM, Laura worked extensively as a session Cellist, writing, performing and recording with Popular artists in London including Mumford and Sons, Laura Marling, Noah and the Whale and Taio Cruz. Inspired by the scene, Laura also took to songwriting, and spent many evenings gigging with her guitar whilst a student in the city. In 2009, a career limiting shoulder injury prevented her continuing her cello
